Scena vivissima, formatasi le ossa nei “mitici” anni sessanta, anche grazie ad apripista come Mike Frairja, la scena musicale si avvaleva di tanti gruppi e tanti generi. Nei settanta c’erano i Lizard e i Rivali (di Sinigo), i Woo Doo, gli Icewater di Mario Gasperi, ma anche il Cranio Ensemble, Urbanoide. Molti anche i gruppi parrocchiali. Nel jazz, unico, il Collettivo Musicale, protagonista di una storia ventennale.

Wichtigster Baustein des “Mythos“ der 70er Jahre in Meran ist vor allem die Musik. Den Boden für eine lebendige Musikszene hat auch Mike Frajria bereitet. Es spielten die „Lizard“ und die „Rivali“ aus Sinich, die „Woo Doo“, Marco Gaperis „Icewater“, das „Cranio Ensemble“ und „Urbanoide“ genauso wie die kirchlichen Musikgruppen. Im Jazz sollte das „Collettivo Musicale“ zwanzig Jahre lang eine wesentliche Rolle spielen.

One of the most important elements of the “70’s myth”? Certainly, it was the music. Mike Frajria paved the way for a lively scene. The “Lizard” were playing, the “Rivali” from Sinich/Sinigo, the “Woo Doo”, Marco Gaperis “Icewater”, the “Cranio Ensemble” and “Urbanoide”, just as the many church groups and choirs. When it comes to Jazz, the “Collettivo Musicale” played for over twenty years an important role within the music scene of Meran/o.
